Cruz, Edward M., 73, formerly of Bethel, VT, and Cranston, RI passed away Tuesday at the VA Medical Center in W. Roxbury, MA. He was the son of the late Manuel and Angelina Cruz of Cranston, RI. Before retiring as a driver for Pike Industries, in VT, he was a machinist for the Leesona, Corp. in Warwick, Ri. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He is predeceased by his niece Delores Machado and is survived by his sister Dolores Poole of Warwick, RI. He was the beloved uncle of Darline Pepler of Voluntown, CT, Ronald Machado of Henderson, NV, Kevin and Donna Machado of Pueblo, CO Edward and Fran Machado of Warwick, RI. He also leaves behind great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 14 at 2pm at the Exeter RI Veterans Cemetery. www.lawlerfuneralhome.com
