Dorothea E. "Dottie" Dunphy of Canton, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away after a brief illness January 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Dottie served as a dedicated nurse as a supervisor of nursing, for over 32 years, at Boston City Hospital.

Dottie was the beloved daughter of the late William L. and Helen (Doolan) Dunphy. Loving sister of Thomas and his wife Carol of Merrimac MA; Richard and his wife Mary of West Roxbury; Louise A. "Louanne" Dunphy of Amherst; Philip and his wife Dominique "Nickie" of Bethlehem CT; and the late William F. and his late wife Louise. Dottie had a very special relationship with her 3 nieces, 5 nephews, also survived by great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, on Wednesday, January 11, at 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church 2078 Centre St. West Roxbury, at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 10, from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
