Dolores "Dede" Woods. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. Dede grew up in Port Clinton, Ohio, and eventually was a longtime resident of Wellesley, MA. She attended Denison University and was a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. In the fall of her sophomore year, she met her love of 67 years, Robert "Bob" Woods. Dede married Bob shortly after that, and they started their married life together in Brookline, MA. They eventually resided at 169 Hampshire Road in Wellesley, MA. Through the years of raising her three daughters, Dede also found time to pursue other activities. She was an involved member of three garden clubs, Wellesley, Wayland and Southborough. She developed her talent for arranging flowers which she went on to contribute through flower arrangement displays at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA). In addition, Dede gave very detailed and entertaining tours at the MFA. She started her own photography business, and her artistic flair was best displayed in the photographs she took of weddings, family portraits and her travels with Bob. While Dede enjoyed these creative activities, it was the friendships and personal relationships she developed through her involvement that brought her the most joy. Dede's three daughters, Suzanne Sullivan, Kim Duckett, and Lisa Guarino are grateful to have had her in their lives. Her grandchildren, Caroline Trussell of Wellesley, MA, Robert Sullivan of Gettysburg, PA, Allison Lewis of Greenwich, CT, Brennan Duckett of Washington, DC, Conor Duckett of Ashburn, VA, and Paige and Natalie Guarino of New York City will forever benefit from her caring love, sense of humor and adventure. There will be a family memorial service this summer. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Dede's name to St. Jude's Hospital.
