Denis Martin of East Boston on November 25th,2022. Beloved husband to the late Joan Somers Martin, who passed away in 2019. Son of the late Jack Martin and Gertrude Martin. Denis is survived by his children Charlotte Martin, Kurt Martin and his wife Silvia Bajo and their daughter Lucia Martin, his sister Lynn Morin and her husband Chip Morin, their daughter Wendy Randle and husband Derrick Randle, and his much, much beloved dog Hazel.

Denis was born in Brooklyn NY and even though he lived in Boston for many years, he remained an avid fan of the New York Giants. He graduated from Goddard College in Vermont and attended Berklee College of Music following his strong interest in music. Denis was a very active figure in the local Boston community and political landscape for many years. He served with Boston City Councilor Christopher Iannella, Suffolk County Family and Probate Court, and as Deputy Register.

Denis's community service and government work expanded into his part-time role with FEMA which he loved as it allowed him to travel throughout the U.S helping those in need after natural disasters. A big animal lover, Denis raised many dogs throughout the years with his wife Joan and after her passing. He was also a food enthusiast who enjoyed connecting over coffee or lunch with the many people he got to know through his community works.
