Cynthia M. Boyce, 80, of Mattapan, peacefully entered into eternal rest and was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Boyce; devoted mother of Javon, Gerard, and Monica; loving sister of Lennox Holder; cherished grandmother of Aaron, Teori, Gerell, Ghared, Gerrin, Xiomara, Ghustin, Seven, Gitalia, Gerniah, Jay-Quan, and Gekhi; great-grandmother of Aaron and Jaylen; sister-in-law of Carol Craigg (Leslie). Also survived by her nieces, Sharon Bridges (Andre) and Lisa Pight (Joe), along with a host of extended family members, church family, and dear friends.
Born on April 2, 1946, in Trinidad to the late Margaret M. Huggins and Hillary Maxwell, Cynthia immigrated to the United States in the late 1960s, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She worked for many years as a medical assistant and phlebotomist, providing compassionate care to countless patients.
A faithful servant of God, Mother Boyce was a devoted member of Living Waters International Deliverance Ministry, where she was affectionately known as the Mother of the Church. Her steadfast faith and unwavering devotion to the Lord remained central to her life. Mother Boyce's life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and service. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, prayers, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 1450 River Street, Hyde Park, MA 02136, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
