Genovese, Concettina "Dolly", 91, of Jamaica Plain passed away peacefully on Sept. 29, 2016 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the wife of the late Frank Genovese. She was the daughter of the late Urbano and Louise Valanzola. She leaves a loving daughter Dianne and her husband Fredrik Hagblom of Jamaica Plain, and her sons Alan and his wife Linda Genovese of Cohasset, Francis Genovese of Norwood, and Paul "Jimmy" and his wife Cathy Genovese of Marshfield. She was the loving nana to Deana, Lauren, Sera, Jamie, Chrissy, Gina, Jeanette, Frankie, Jimmy and Joey, along with 12 great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Josephine Valanzola of Jamaica Plain, Junior Valanzola of Roslindale, Gino Valanzola of Easton, and Louie Valanzola of Hull. She will be truly missed by all who loved her. She will be remembered by her infectious laughter, and most of all her embracing personality. All who knew her or even just met her loved her. She found goodness in everyone she encountered in life. Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours from 2 ~ 6 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 95 South St., Jamaica Plain at 10am on Monday October 3 with services at St. Michael Cemetery to follow.
