Obituary

Cadder "Celita" Jean-Louis (Joseph), 77, of Boston, MA, passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of October 13, 2022.

Cadder Jean-Louis was born on January 8, 1945, in Kingstown, St. Vincent, and The Grenadines, to father, Willy Jacobs, and mother, Christian Joseph. Celita later migrated to the U.S. in 1976 in quest of greater opportunities to support her growing family. Over the years, she worked as a home health aide for the state of Massachusetts, caring for mentally disabled residents. Celita was very passionate about her work and devoted nearly 35 years of her life to caring for others. She became a citizen of the United States in 1993 after many years of hard work and dedication.

Celita was preceded in death by her parents, elder brothers, and most recently, her beloved brother, Vivian Joseph. She is survived by her children: Marcia Joseph, Harvey Joseph, Sharon Joseph, and Leisa Joseph; her ten grandchildren, as well as her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, friends, and other loved ones.

Celita was known to be funny, kind, dependable, and an amazing chef. She loved to spend her free time enjoying game shows, playing bingo with her friends, and betting her odds on the lottery. She was well-known for playing her chances at a casino or two. Her family will truly miss her snide remarks, random spouts of affection, silly faces, and the many memories they hold dear to them.
