Blanca Lidia Alvarez, of West Roxbury, MA passed away on Monday, October 8th 2018. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, beloved wife of Guillermo Eduardo Alvarez, mother of Astrid Troland, Audrey Dwyer, Milton Alvarez, Ted Alvarez. Grandmother to Jessica Troland, Brendan Troland, Joseph Alvarez, Katherine Alvarez, Asher Dwyer, Mia Dwyer, daughter of the late Fortunato Mazariegos and Maria Luisa Morales. Sister to Alfredo Mazariegos, Julieta De Leon, Humberto Mazariegos, Elizabeth Mazariegos, Guillermo Mazariegos and the late Jorge Mazariegos. Blanca lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel and enjoyed her long weekends. Especially to Ogunguit, Maine and Cape Cod. Going to the beach and catching sunsets was one of her favorite things. She called them God's paintings. She will be missed but her memories will live forever. Family and friends will remember and celebrate Blanca's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robert J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11:30am.
