Mr. Bernard (Bernie) J. Bruneau passed away at the age of 89.
Born in Malden, MA on June 15, 1934. He was the son of Leonard A. and Mary Hellen (Fago) Bruneau.
He enlisted in the United States Army at a very young age and served for over 30 years including tours in Vietnam retiring as a Chief warrant officer. Once retired from his army career, he joined the private sector supporting government contracts.
Bernie reveled in providing guidance and nuggets of wisdom to his family and friends. He shared his passion for travel, food, cooking, gardening, cards, cars and puzzles.
Surviving Bernie are his niece Karen and her husband Tom Pelletier and his #1 nephew James Marsh and his three children Drew, Ashley, and Alex; his sweetie and lifelong partner of 25 years Mary J. Buckley (Jean) and her daughters Barbara and her husband Ray Buczynski; their three children Martina, Kurtis, Evan and their spouses and children; and her daughter Judi and her husband Philip Babine.
Predeceasing him was his brother Leonard A. Bruneau and his sister Laurie-Helen and her husband Jim Marsh.
Mr. Bruneau will be interned at St. Joseph's cemetery West Roxbury, MA.
