Anthony J. "Tony" Yakavonis, 90, passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at Chesterfields Health Care Center in Chester, CT. He was born in Boston MA, the son of Thomas and Petronella Yakavonis. Tony lived most of is life in Spofford, NH but worked and retired from Central Screw of Keene, NH. Tony was an avid gardener and golfer. Tony took great pride growing roses and numerous other flowers. Tony was an amazing card player and enjoyed spending time on his beloved Lake Spofford. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. His recent health issues did not change the man we all loved. Tony is survived by two sisters Helen Maloney and Aldona Zirolis both of West Roxbury. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Vincent, John and Paul and his sister Nellie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church WEST ROXBURY on Saturday February 10, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
