Obituary

Albert H Bidorini of Jamaica Plain, born October 22, 1955, passed peacefully at the side of his loving, devoted, and supportive domestic partner of 35 years, Donna Rapley, on the 24th of March, 2023 after enduring defiantly a disease he refused to let define him. In addition to Donna, Al leaves his impression on his loving stepson, Spencer Rapley and his adoring grandson Luke. Al is the eldest dear son of the late Albert J and Marion M Bidorini of Jamaica Plan and leaves his legacy to two younger brothers; Richard along with his wife Bonnie of Tilton, NH; as well as his youngest brother, John, also of Jamaica Plain. Al is survived by a tightly knit, extended family of loving cousins, relatives, friends, neighbors, teammates and coworkers who through the years had become woven into the fabric of his life, like brothers and sisters.

Socially, Al sought to forge cherished and lasting memories through his love of and devotion to people, pets, food, music, history, game, and sport. These activities invariably involved a spirited combination of competition and enjoyment, to which Al always brought his shine, all but ensuring the underpinnings of an enduring tradition. Among his favorites were camping, windsurfing, volleyball and of course, the overly imaginative entrapments of epic rounds of "killer" croquet. Al was an avid hockey player all his life, beginning from the time he could walk, throughout his academic years at English High School and continuing on in his adult life. In spite of whatever hand he was dealt, he taught all who knew him never to let a bad day tomorrow ruin a good day today.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
