Denis M
Noonan
July 23, 1947 – May 13, 2026
Denis Michael Noonan (78) found peace after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s on May 13, 2026. Born in Dorchester, MA, on July 23, 1947, Denis grew up on Glen Lane in Randolph, where he enjoyed ice skating and assisted his father from time to time on his milk delivery truck. He served honorably during the Vietnam War in the US Army as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer from August 1966 to August 1969. He married his wife of over 50 years Ann (Cassidy) Noonan on September 20, 1973. Together, they settled in Stoughton to raise their two daughters before later relocating to Jacksonville, FL.
Denis spent several enjoyable years working at Caterpillar. He was an avid New England sports fan, even when the teams were not winning, and spoke about his job selling hot dogs at Fenway Park until his final days. Denis also enjoyed coaching his daughters’ youth softball teams. He, his wife, and their youngest daughter Denise spent his final years in Methuen where he enjoyed time with his family, in particular his grandchildren.
Denis is predeceased by his parents, Harold James and Bernadette Marie Noonan, and his sisters Sister Bernadette, Geraldine, and Elaine Noonan. He leaves behind his wife Ann, his daughters Ann Marie and Denise, his son-in-law Charles, and his grandchildren Charlotte and William. He is also survived by his brothers Harold, Kevin, David, and James (Jay); his sister Paula; his brother-in-law Steve; and his sisters-in-laws Kay, Pat, Peggy, and Marie as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Care Dimensions (hospice).
