Robert Delaney Obituary

Robert Beethoven Delaney (August 2, 1977 - December 3, 2019) With heavy hearts Lynn and I want to share with friends and family the news about the untimely death of our son, Robbie.  Robbie passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women Hospital (Brigham) surrounded by us and Aunt Kelley Hayes Rathman. Robbie was admitted to Northshore Hospital (Northshore) ICU on December 2nd with chest pain and difficulty breathing due to septic shock.  In the early hours of December 3rd, a magnificent Boston MedFlight ground crew transferred Robbie to Brigham's ICU. In spite of the valiant and superb efforts of staff at Northshore's and Brigham's ICUs, Robbie deceased.

Robbie leaves behind his sister Kelley Rae Delaney and her children Kenny and Sage Bergman, his beloved aunt Kelley Rathman and her children Michael and Sam Lamontagne, and several relatives in GA, PA, the U.K., and Canada.  Robbie will also be missed by many close friends in the western MA as well as in Salem, MA where he lived for the past 4 years.   Robbie was a master of all trades, phenomenal musician, computer technology expert, fabulous cook, a hilarious comedian and a very loving family member.

Lynn and I accepted his remains on Friday, December 14, and began to embark on the next mourning process of organizing celebrations of life in the Salem and the Holyoke areas.  The Salem event will be on January 4th at the Hawthorne Hotel from 5:30 to 9:30. The Holyoke event will be on Saturday, January 11....place and time has not been finalized. Once the Holyoke-area plans are finalized, I will post them on my FB page.  In the meantime we will continue to celebrate the holidays, as Robbie would want,  in spite of our profound mourning for Rob's painful loss. Robbie is predeceased by his biological father, Mr. Robert R. Delaney.

We offer prayers for those who mourn the loss of loved ones especially during this holiday season. Any questions can be referred to me (Abdullah) at arehayem2@gmail.com
